Amsterdam's plans for the Wrong Thinking

Amsterdam's Labour party mayor, Eberhard van der Laan, plans to begin moving people who are considered anti-social out of their homes and into housing camps consisting of used shipping containers.

Apparently in Holland you can complain to the government if you think your neighbor is behaving in ways or is saying things you do not like. This does not appear to refer to people who commit crimes, those could be handled by the police and the courts. The new plan calls for the creation of special team of district officials who will question your neighbors and evaluate your behavior and determine if you need to be re-educated on how to behave. I would like to recommend they be called the Stasi. Since this is a term well known in Europe with a rich tradition of law enforcement and for getting your friends and family to rat you out for not following the orders of the ruling class. Yes the name Stasi should serve them well.

Bartho Boer, the mayor's spokesman says they do not like to refer to new homes as shipping containers. They prefer to call them living containers. He points out the living containers will even have showers. I think, given the European history of how they treat undesirables I'd stay away from those showers.

It also appears that if you do not bend to the will of the government and stop you anti-social ways by the end of your six month re-education the government will confiscate your old home and move you and your family to a new permanent dwelling. I wonder who gets the money from the sale of the old homes and all the possessions inside. I'm sure there will be lots of Swiss banks more than willing to handle that for them.

Since the Dutch seem to be so inclined to revive old European traditions perhaps they should re-enact that other old program of requiring those whose life styles do not meet their approval wear a nice yellow symbol on their clothes. Just replace the yellow Juden star with a Smiley Star but turn the smile upside down to let all the right thinking people know to stay away from those dirty anti-social people.

Not only should this news frighten you with all its possibilities. But in a wonderful display of spin all the news stories have by the end of the reports shifted the message and the onus from the liberal on the left who's plan it is to the person on the right who has nothing to do with what is being suggested. They have managed to refer to right wing Dutch politician Geert Wilders and in a very subtle way seem to make it appear that this is his idea even though it is had been devised by and is being implemented by the liberal left. Way to go news writers.
